Like her sister ships, the Azamara Pursuit is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. Its intimate size allows itineraries to unique, smaller ports in regions around the world that larger ships are unable to reach.
On an Azamara ship, you'll sail to the city center of Bordeaux, the heart of Seville, and within a short walk to Hong Kongs buzzing nightlife and Shanghais famous Bund. You'll sail to the doorstep of Bangkok, while other large cruise lines dock a few hours away.
With a capacity of 690 guests, you'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.
Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.
Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Exclusive Shore Event: Cartagena | Historical Cartagena with Dinner
The history of Cartagena de Indias, a walled fortress city in the Spanish colony of New Granada, is legendary. Its location, on the Caribbean coast of present-day Colombia (the colony of New Granada became part of the federation of Gran Colombia, and eventually in 1886 the Republic of Colombia), was key to the shipment of riches between the New World and Spain. Its "lucrative nature" was not lost on the pirates and privateers of the colonial Americas.
We begin our day exploring the city of Cartagena, once considered the gem of the Spanish Main and today still surprises visitors with its colonial architecture and impressive fortifications. Leaving the port, we drive uphill past the old residential area of La Manga to the Convento de la Candelaria on the summit of La Popa Hill. The monastery and chapel were built by Augustinian priests at the beginning of the 17th century. From here enjoy a spectacular view over the city and its bay.
We then continue with a photo stop at the 17th-century Fortress of San Felipe de Barajas, a military architectural masterpiece built during the Spanish Colonial period. This fortress was the key element in the defense of Cartagena during the attack carried out by British Admiral Vernon.
Next, we continue to the walled city, where we will wander the narrow cobbled streets and squares inside the walled city and visit the majestic Church of San Pedro Claver. Built to honor the patron saint of slaves, the missionary Peter Claver, this historic church contains numerous statues and old furnishings. It was built between 1580 and 1654 and is a Colombian National Monument.
We will then proceed to the Palace of the Inquisition which served as headquarters to the Court of the Holy Inquisition. Inside we will see prison cells and torture chambers: the actual passing of the sentences used to take place in public, in the middle of the plaza.
Your day ends with a dinner of local specialties in one of the most emblematic places of the city, the restaurant "Club de Pesca", a symbol of the identity that portrays the city of Cartagena de Indias. Founded in 1956, it is one of the most traditional and famous restaurants in the city. Its historical and marine setting is highlighted by its location within what used to be a military fortress back in the days of the colony: Fort of San Sebastian de Pastelillo.
Club de Pesca recalls the magic, history, freshness and warmth of the city of Cartagena, with an open-air, natural and welcoming environment. It is a privileged place, not only for its historical location, but for the stunning view of the city bay, yachts and sailboats docked in the marina.
Following dinner, we will return to the pier.Approximate Length: Five hours, 45 minutes.
Suggested Attire/Walking Notes: Casual, lightweight clothing with comfortable shoes. Moderate walking of approximately mile on uneven surfaces and cobbled streets with occasional steps.
