Like her sister ship, the Azamara Quest is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. In addition to going to the most celebrated destinations on Earth, youll also go to less-traveled ports, enjoy scenic rivers and waterways that are off-limits to big cruise lines, and sail to the doorstep of great cities like Seville, Hong Kong, and Bordeaux.
You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.
Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.
Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Exclusive Shore Event: Hvar | Highlights of Hvar and Traditional Lunch
Our day begins by meeting our local guide at the pier for a private tour of Hvar Island. This luminous Mediterranean gem has it all- an abundance of sunshine, lush nature, endless beaches, glitzy nightlife, and a rich history. Our exploration begins in the Island's namesake town, Hvar. In the historic setting of the main square, admire Venetian style palaces and their grand edifices. Settlement in Hvar dates to before even the Ancient Romans, and artifacts of every era since are evident throughout the island. Perhaps the most impressive structure is the Cathedral of St. Steven, whose graceful 17th century bell tower adorns the town's skyline. In the tranquil Benedictine Monastery, learn about the fine art of lace making from agave leaves; in the mighty Arsenal building discover Europe's oldest public theater, built in 1612.
Following our town tour, we will meet our driver who will take us out of the town and through the beautiful landscape of vineyards, olive-groves, and lavender fields to Stari Grad, or Old Town. Now a beautiful and relaxed Mediterranean beach town, Stari Grad was founded by the Ancient Greeks in 384 BC as a colony of Pharos. One of Europe's oldest town, Stari Grad's position at the end of a long, protected bay and next to prime agricultural land has long made it attractive for settlement. Here, we'll engage in a leisurely walk around the town's ancient streets, revealing splendid landmarks such as the romantic Tvrdalj a 16th century fortification built by local poet Petar Hektorovic. Stari Grad has been at the center of countless wars since its construction, resulting in it being destroyed and rebuilt in the past, most notably by invading Turks in 1571. Following the reconstruction, the old waterfront was extended and the town underwent a major urban transformation, evident by the town we see today. The surrounding area is among the richest in the world with archeology, including the Old Town Walls, the Greek Settlement, and Roman villas. On the way, we will pass by Stari Grad plain, a cultural landscape and natural reserve that is included in UNESCO's world heritage list. Constructed by Greek colonists in the 4th century BC, Stari Grad Plain has since been preserved and is still in use today as agricultural land.
Finally, we will proceed to the picturesque village of Vrisnik, located towards the center of the island. Here, we will enjoy a traditionally themed lunch at a local tavern, called "Konoba". We will be welcomed by a local family and enjoy a delicious lunch of fresh Mediterranean ingredients in the authentic ambiance of the Hvar village. After finishing our delicious lunch, our guide and driver will meet us to take us back to the pier.
Approximate Length: Five hours, 30 minutes.
