Like her sister ships, the Azamara Pursuit is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. Its intimate size allows itineraries to unique, smaller ports in regions around the world that larger ships are unable to reach.
On an Azamara ship, you'll sail to the city center of Bordeaux, the heart of Seville, and within a short walk to Hong Kongs buzzing nightlife and Shanghais famous Bund. You'll sail to the doorstep of Bangkok, while other large cruise lines dock a few hours away.
With a capacity of 690 guests, you'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.
Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.
Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Debark your cruise ship in Buenos Aires and meet your driver who will chauffeur you to your hotel. After checking in, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure and explore the city on your own. Buenos Aires is alive with colorful murals, architectural details inspired by French and Italian masters, and a renowned nightlife where you really can dance until dawn. Be sure to visit a Parrillas (steakhouse) for a meal of Argentinian beef, paired with a local Malbec.
After breakfast at your hotel, take an approximately 90-minute flight to Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival, you'll be escorted to Argentina's Iguazu Falls National Park, where your local guide will take you over a mile of catwalks that surround the upper falls, and in some cases, allow you to stand right on the edge and overlook the Paran River below. Then board the park train for a journey to Devil's Throat, where a thrilling speedboat trip brings you up close (and wet) with the most impressive falls in the park. Return to your hotel for dinner and a restful sleep.
After breakfast, you'll journey to Yriapu Rainforest and the village of Jasy Pora Guarani, home of the Guarani people. Visit with children at the local school, and go into the heart of the rainforest with a tribal elder. Learn about the indigenous wildlife and fauna, customs and traditions, and how they have maintained their self-sustainability. Head back to the village for lunch with the local families, and be treated to a special children's choir presentation, before returning to your Iguazu Falls hotel. Lunch will be at a local restaurant and dinner at Aqva restaurant.
After breakfast, explore your resort amenities or the surrounding area. Your guide will then take you to see Iguazu Falls from a completely different viewpoint, this time from across the river on the Brazilian side. Enjoy a leisurely walk and spectacular views, followed by lunch at the luxury spa resort, Belmond Hotel Das Cataratas. A shuttle takes you to the airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires.
Back in Buenos Aires, have breakfast at your hotel and spend the morning taking it easy (or as the locals say, tmatelo con soda). Stroll the parks of Palermo, go shopping in Soho, or visit Cementerio de la Recoleta, an unforgettable "city of the dead" and final resting place for a veritable who's who of Argentina. Then, it's time to depart for the next leg of your journey, whether by sea or air.

Exclusive Shore Event: Punta Arenas | Condors & Cowboys
Exceedingly remote but eminently lively, diminutive Punta Arenas is one of the southernmost cities in the world, as well as the gateway to windswept Chilean Patagonia. We'll have a quick tour of the city, stopping to take in the view from Cerro La Cruz and the artfully landscaped tombs of the Municipal Cemetery. We'll then make our way out of town and into the vast pampas, arriving at Olga Teresa Estancia, founded by French-Irish immigrants in the early 20th century. We'll tour the working property and meet the huasos, Chilean cowboys, and their remarkable kelpie dog. They'll show off their skills in rounding up the sheep-especially impressive is when they bring the herd to a stop directly in front of us. We'll also see a demonstration of sheep shearing.
You will have the option of exploring the nearby Palomares Mountains, home to an impressive colony of Andean condors - the largest flying birds on earth. Close-range encounters with these mighty birds are rare, but those who participate in this excursion may get within a few feet. For those who choose not to hike, it is still possible to observe and photograph the birds from the bottom of the hill.
We'll toast our visit with a Calafate pisco sour, followed by delicious baked empanadas and a barbecue of Patagonian lamb, grilled slowly for hours on stakes around the fire, and accompanied by rich red Chilean wine. Following our feast, we'll transfer back to our ship.
Approximate Length: 8 hours, 30 minutes
Suggested Attire/Walking Notes: Casual warm clothing/layers, with hat, gloves, and good outdoor shoes and a waterproof jacket. Patagonia is especially windy.
