Like her sister ship, the Azamara Journey is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. In addition to going to the most celebrated destinations on Earth, youll also go to less-traveled ports, enjoy scenic rivers and waterways that are off-limits to big cruise lines, and sail to the doorstep of great cities like Seville, Hong Kong, and Bordeaux.
You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of her bars, restaurants, and lounges. Youll love the genial club-like atmosphere and the way the attentive staff and crew get to know you. And youll feel the same friendliness with your fellow voyagers.
Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views.
Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Exclusive Shore Event: Tallinn | City Highlights, Saue Manor, and LunchTallinn is a quintessential medieval city fortified walls, 13th-century buildings, cobblestone streets on Estonia's Baltic coast. The Ests are ethnic and linguistic cousins of the Finns. The Finns never ruled Estonia, but virtually all of Estonia's other neighbors have "colonized" the republic in the last millennium. The saga is varied: first came the Danes (who founded Tallinn), then in the 16th century the Swedes arrived (they imposed the Lutheran Reformation), the Poles followed (and monopolized the 17th century), and finally the Russians arrived (they first laid claim in the 18th century, departed in the early 20th century and then came back in 1939). True independence was not achieved until 1991.
We depart from the harbor, making our way through the cultural center of Tallinn towards the central park of Kadriorg. We will make a stop at the Song Festival Grounds where national song festivals with up to 30,000 singers are held.
We continue with a drive through a beautiful residential area and arrive at the Pirita marina that hosts annual international regattas and has also been the site of Olympic yachting. Enjoy a look at the facade of the St. Birgit's convent.
We'll proceed to the Upper Town, admiring the skyline of Cathedral Hill and on our way, make a stop at the foot of Dome Hill. From here, we will walk to the Palace Square and view the Parliament House and the Russian Orthodox Church. We will also see the restored part of the city wall with its towers. We will then re-board our coach and drive to the Nun's Gate. We will disembark on the bank of the old moat and walk to the historic city center, viewing the impressive Castle Hill.
We'll enjoy a cup of coffee with a freshly baked cake in one of the old coffee shops of Tallinn before continuing on to the Lower Town for panoramic views of the Holy Ghost Church, Great Guild House and numerous medieval merchants' homes, Town Hall, and Town Hall Square. It will then be time for our wonderful luncheon!
We'll dine on delicious regional specialties complimented by wine at one of the city's finest establishments.
After lunch you will have some free time in the St. Catherine's Arts and Crafts center before we depart on our drive through the cultural center, industrial and residential suburbs of Tallinn to the Saue manor, one of the most beautiful and valuable estates in this region. We will visit the beautiful manor complex, consisting of numerous halls in the main building done in neoclassicist style. We will then enjoy a glass of sparkling wine served (depending on the weather) either on the balcony or in one of the rooms of the manor house while listening to some live zither music before we return to the pier.
Approximate Length: Seven hours.
Suggested Attire: Casual wear with comfortable shoes. Moderate walking on cobblestone streets and uneven surfaces for two hours with breaks.
